As far as I know:Köhne normally does not advice IT-Band release. The large majority of his patients are perfectly fine without IT Band release.

My stryde nails did not cause any trouble so far during two trips. People have all kinds of metal implants. Even if they notice it's not a big deal and they will just palpate you.
