Thanks everyone!

Mom arrived 40 min ago to see me but found out visitation hours start at 8 AM. So keep that in mind if you have visitors.

Let's answer some questions.

Quote from: Great321 on June 28, 2018, 08:23:48 PMSo will you be okay with ATL then if it has to be done ?

If necessary, I'll take my doctor's advice. But I'd like to give it my best shot with physiotherapy first and not rush into it, like what Body Builder went through.

Quote from: shortygirl on June 28, 2018, 08:33:12 PMYou're so lucky your mom came with you!! Does the St. Elizabeth Hospital have wifi? I assume it has it since you are writing from there?

Yep, very helpful to have someone here with you. She's leaving in only a few days, but still nice.

St. Elizabeth does have WiFi, but it's not free. It's 35 rubles a day (~$0.56), which isn't much more than buying a data SIM, so I followed Pope's advice and got the same plan for $11/mo. Set up tethering/hotspot via my phone and using my laptop.

Quote from: Tiger9898 on June 28, 2018, 09:48:58 PMSo,  you said you found an apartment which costs 1500 dollar for 91 days. That's actually cheaper compared to the price of rental houses in Dr kulesh's file. Did they help you to find that apartment?  And your mom will probably stay with you during whole lengthening period, right?

I found my apartment on Airbnb by myself, it's just north of the SPb border in Murino. Tons of housing there in very big complexes, so that's probably why it's cheaper.

Dr. Kulesh was busy, and working with a realtor seemed like a hassle, so I just looked around until I found something decent. Only had a few rules: standing shower, elevator, ramp to entrance of building, and kitchen (mainly fridge). Sent a request to one that looked great, unfortunately they said it wouldn't be good for a person with disabilities. Second place confirmed that it was wheelchair-friendly.

Mom's going home on July 2. The original plan was to get surgery last weekend at MEDEM and her visit me for about a week. She's got her own life going on, so this is fine with me!

Quote from: Bushguy on June 28, 2018, 10:40:04 PMOne question you said that you had meassured your legs before, and then you see that you were wrong can hoy tell us your before meassured, just to compare error.

I watched some YouTube videos on measuring bones like this one, but I was way off. Exact measurements were via x-rays.

Alright, mom's here. Surgery not too long from now I think, see you guys on the other side!

If your mom leaves on July 2, may I ask who will stay with you in Russia?  Have you hired an assistant?

I was already thinking about following your exact same path: same lengthening method and same places, so that would be very useful to me.

First of all. I'm glad that the surgery was successful!

QuoteAs for when we could start the next set of legs in the cross-lengthening journey, Dr. Kulesh recommended a year apart. Dr. Solomin said as soon as the bones look consolidated via x-rays. Dr. Kulesh admitted that only one patient has ever taken his advice, adding that they had a great recovery.
How long do you want to wait ? And how long will you have to wear frames in total if no complication occur?

what kind of methods have you decided for? (LON/LATN/Ilizarov)
