if you are doing LL for getting more dates, don't bother! it comes from within, the x-factor. my friend is about 170 cm, maybe shorter and he bags many girls. Once you are around 170cm+, height is no longer a critical concern.
but then again, height DOES help, but it is part of a bigger equation which includes how your face looks and your personality/humour.
I do it for sports, and not for chicks.
getting in peace with my body and not feel overwhelmed each time a dude towers over me (insecurities I guess)... and it is related to sports that I feel inadequate at this height.
I already jump higher than before for basketball, and get more rebounds, compared to my earlier height. It helps in the paint, in a very scary way.
but that's probably cause I train like anything from 3 to 8 hours a day, 3 times a week... endurance and balance really suffered though. and it is kinda uncomfortable to stay in half squat position as is common in basketball. gotta get used to it. I am only 4 months after frame removal, so I don't know. I started doing plyometrics yesterday.
mostly insecurity........ =/
but.. I do not feel as insecure now that I reached 6 feet. Many guys may be taller than me,but they cannot defeat me in any way as they are fatter, and less healthy or strong as me.
I know... I get many chicks, I have a ripped body, I am six feet, I have a decent looking face (above average) - and I don't feel good.. I am starting to suspect it is BDD.
yup that's a good idea. shall see a counsellor and maybe a psychologist. there must be a reason why people are walking around below six feet and with beer bellies, and they accept it. me? I am always trying to become better, work harder. Go-getter.
I am definitely more popular with girls than before..... get numbers much more easily, get compliments about my height.
It's just this weird feeling whenever I pass by a guy who is taller, I start comparing.. In the locker room, I compare too, and that is why I made mine bigger (without surgery) and now I am content with my size. On a scale of 0 to 10, I am pleased with my looks to the extent of 6 or7 so I am not sure if it is BDD. I definitely function well or average in society.
Not a shrink - I am not into medicine. I am 28 but I am told I look 22. Anti-Depressants make you look older..
I don't have everything in terms of looks - I do get rejected every now and then, which hits me a little, but less and less over time. I can't please everyone.

Make sure to get a shrink that specializes in BDD, a vast majority shy away from it because it is hard to treat. Average treatment for BDD is 8 years.
in Canberra, only half of the white guys are below 6'. it is daunting.
dating was not a consideration at all for my height increase. it helps slightly, but not a whole lot. I certainly didn't experience a whole lot of change.
