If I were you, I'd make only single surgery with stride in the femurs aiming 8cm.

It's less development than I had wished but since I had the Clostridium difficile germs, I probably couldn't absorb all the nutrients I had needed. Now I wait for Dr. Giotikas' response.

Not sure yet.

too late it for it now:) Personally I think 8cm for only one segment is too much. Other LLers already mentioned that others had noticed that their femurs look too long. Also 8cm is more risky.
Hello friend, I see that your consolidation is a bit slow, what type of body do you have ectomorph ?. Until when do you think you would use the framework and what would you advise me to do purely external or LON or LATN?
I hope you do very well and my best wishes to you

I had to google the body types and neither of them really fit me. So I'm not sure, sorry.
I can imagine that it will take me two more months. That's like a nightmare for me honestly because walking didn't get easier with time, rather the opposite. Mentally I'm fine though. I know for sure that without the frames I would progress a lot faster concerning walking. I'm not in a rush luckily, I have 6 more months until my studies continue.
If you can and want to spend more than 30k for one single surgery
, and if you don't have enough time (like about 9+months to recover for fully external),
and if you are willing to take the 3% risk of getting permanent knee pain afterwards
then go for either LON or LATN (I don't know which is better, I only know since only recently that Dr. Giotikas offers LON for about 30k.
Thank you
My biggest concern is that if any of the pins get infected again and don't heal by themselves I need to take antibiotics.
Antibiotics are my biggest enemy though because that could mean that the clostridium germs "attack" my body again as the good bacteria which normally defends us from the bad bacteria etc. dies from the antibiotics.
So far none of my pins got infected again since I got home. Whenever a pin feels weird I use some form of PVP iodine ointment, recommended by another doctor.
I hope you recover soon, remember to take calcium and a diet rich in protein and minerals. I plan on going to Russia with doctors Solomin and Kulesh of whom there are good references, and its price is more attractive than Gyotikas. The problem is that if it is from a South American country and the visa is only for 90 days, I will send an email to see. Anyway take good care of yourself and try to do PT every day, do not forget the diet

Thanks, yes I drink a lot of milk every day and extra calcium pills. Also I drink protein shakes. Vitamin C, Selen, Magnesium, Vitamin D, collagen protein...
I wish you good luck!
Talked with Dr. Giotikas today.
He is pleased with my X-rays and said that my bone growth is just fine and normal. He doesn't believe that my Clostridium difficile problem slowed it down. Dr. G suggested that if I want I can let the frames be removed and replace it with a nail but I declined it. I'm not in a rush, yes wearing the frames for such a long time is hell, but it's just a few more months.
I told him that I use Povidon iodine ointment on some of my pins but he told me not to continue with it, instead chlorhexidine 2% is recommended.
From tomorrow on I shall shorten my legs for 3 days for 3mm total. Wait a day. And lengthen them again, 3mm in 3 days. For 3 weeks. That might help the bone growth.
I have asked Dr. Giotikas if I can lengthen a few mm more. I mean I have to wear the frames maybe a couple of months more. It has to be worth it. He said that lengthening after 5 months is not common but if I want I can do it. So I will do 6mm more during the next three weeks. Then it will be 4,9cm more in total. Let's just say 5cm
