How long after surgery is it absolutely safe to stop taking Xarelto and chances of blood clot becomes zero? Given the fact that there is a confirmed death due to blood clots ( the guichet guy story that Puru had posted), I think this is a very crucial subject. Any inputs?

update: my original plan was to exhaust my pills and then ask the doc (have 15 left) but 2 days ago i had a head bump concussion and blood thinner taking is very bad in that situation, so i stopped immediately and today texted the doc's assistant who confirmed that it is ok to stop.
