How long do I have to keep the frames on (External only Tibia)

If I want to lengthen 4.9 cms, how long would I have the frames on for? From the operation date to the removal of frames, how many months will that be approximately?

For completely externals tibia, general rule is 2 months per centimeter.

That's total time, correct? Counting both the distraction and consolidation for a given cm?
