Non-Union can be treated either by surgery or through ultrasound devices without surgery.

With surgery, the best nail would be the precice, as the precice can not only lenghten but also shorten.

But there is a second form treating non-union. With so called ultrasound devices that stimulates bone growth.  With upto 85 % non-union can be cured by this. Your doctor has to prescribe you that device.

Yeah, i was talking with a clinic which promote a device like that, but they were honest with me saying that it has no result to big gaps, like 43 mm as i had.
Usually works on normal fractures with 1-2 mm gap.

As i know non-union happens more than 90% on tibia and very rare on femur, because the femur has a much more active and faster metabolism. Tibia recovery and healing is a long pain !

Could it be because femur is closer to the hip compared to tibia? Because it seems like most often doctors do proximal femur osteotomy (it's closer to the hip) instead of distal femur osteotomy. Also in nonunion they often use bone graft from iliac crest (hips).
