I thought I was 5’4 but my measurements are actually 5’3. I want leg lengthening in tibias and femurs for 3 to 4 inches total. Problem is I’ve recently been diagnosed with Asperger’s and have been suffering depression and trauma since childhood which explains my stunted growth. I know the operation requires the patient be psychologically fit, so how screwed an I? Cheers

As I said, stunted growth due to trauma and depression (not eating, not exercising etc.). In my case the depression is severe, but I’m guessing my desire for limb lengthening won’t go away regardless due to how short I am, as it did play a role in how my life has been.
My backup plan is to just move to a country like Malaysia with shorter people so I feel more normal (I’m Asian). How seriously would depression put off a surgeon? Thanks

As much as I’d like to agree, it’s ultimately the surgeon’s decision as to whether I receive CLL. I’m worried that my history of mental illness would be a problem. Will they overlook this given the massive benefits to someone of my stature? (25M)
