Dr. Betz is 71 years old, I want to do LL in 6-8 years (+10cm femur), my proportions look great but I've got anxiety over Dr. Betz retiring.
Sorry if this sounds stupid. Has he said anything about retirement?

I would like to use the Betzbone nail for LL, but what if Dr Betz retires?

Best age for LL surgeons is 45-60
Thank you for replying, my tibia is the same length as my femur, so my proportions without LL look really weird. I can't do quad lengthening, for this reason, only femurs. And, betzbone/g-nail offer 10cm+ without quads on femurs, which is really attractive to me.
If Stryde offered 10cm, it's a no-brainer, I would immediately go for Stryde.

There is talk about an entirely new nail, also remember that 2-3 years is needed to see if the new nail works properly, you don't want to be a guinea pig for the new Stryde nail.
