For many of us, we have to travel very far from our home countries for this surgery. If you've been through LL, how did you spend most of your days (besides PT, consultations, etc). Any suggestions? I have to stay in Milan for 3 more weeks.

For me there has been almost no difference between pre LL and post LL, which has to do with the fact that I like doing work on my laptop outside the office and also have an office in Barcelona.
The main difference has been:
1. in the first 2 month irregular sleep due to tension during night, which meant I would work 1-2 hours at night, and therefore sleep 1-2 hours in the afternoon.
2. spend more time in the gym, 1-2 hours/day vs. before 25 minutes/day.
3. no dancing, biking, running, football, basketball, and therefore able to work work a little more.

I would suggest getting to know Milan, getting out on dates, and preparing for the next semester of university.

It would have to be a very kind girl to have the enough patience to date you when you are on crutches. Everything is very difficult. I spend about 4-5 hours on gym / PT already. I might tour Milan but it is a very difficult city of handicapped.there are stairs everywhere and too many people.

Wheelchair and crutches definetely help with dating.
But even the fact that you cannot walk well helps, as it is easy for people to approach you, gives you conversation starters, and makes you seem vulnerable.
So more dating possibilities during LL phase, is definetely a plus of LL.

I just replied to Kaiser, that I think being on crutches is a big turn on and great conversation opener. I myself have been approached many times by girls, using the line "What happened to you?". Just happened yesterday: a girl looks at me in the metro, sits next to me, and then asks me what happened to me. From this start it is easy to take it to the next level. So I am making a lot of social contacts, just by being on crutches.

This and good books while listening to music are probably the biggest time eaters
