Hey guys, was wondering how could i get accurate length mesure of my femurs and tibias without xrays ? I read here and there that it's safe to lengthen 10-15% of the femur or the tibia, but from my measurement, from my anckles to the knees,it's about 40cm,while for the femur it's between 45-50cm if i measure it from my knee to my hip roughly
From the floor to my hip,my legs are about 93cm,i'm 165cm,my wingspan is 175cm,in the mirror i can see that my upper legs are longer than the tibias but not by a huge factor, but if i understand it correctly,i could lengthen 10-15% of my tibia length, roughly 4-6cm,which is what i had in mind,5cm
But for the femurs, lets say they are like 50cm,10-15% would mean 5-7cm is it correct ?
Overall whats the importance of these proportions, and which segment should i go for ?
Also,i'm thinking about the LON method on femurs, even though i read that's not the most optimal way to do femurs,i was thinking, after the distraction phase, when the external fixator are removed, are the nails inside the bones strong enough to do full weight-bearing ?
Thx
