Hi All,
I followed through with dual-femur lengthening this year. I am guessing I waited too long to start PT. Because now my hamstrings and quads are so tight, I am unable to fully-straighten my legs when standing flat-footed (knees slightly bent). My PT specialists haven't freaked out about the situation, so I'm hoping we can work through it. - I just wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience.. - Or to inquire how long after surgery most people started PT. - Thank You

That's how I did it. Of course you can work through it by stretching unless you severely over-lengthened. I don't understand why people think they need to go to a physical therapist just to walk and do pike stretches in the first place.

Knee extension issues happens to all leg lengthening patients. Just keep up with your stretching at home and with your PT. It will be like that throughout the distraction phase. A few weeks in to the consolidation phase, you should be able to fully-straighten your legs when standing (assuming you keep up with your PT).
