Not really uncommon.  I have a taller sitting height than most 6’0-2 friends of mine.  And what’s weird is that my torso isn’t “long” either, I just must have the ideal hip area for it.  Women have said I have a nice butt so I’d imagine that “nice butt” is what makes me so tall when sitting down lol.

Sitting height is IMO the least important part of proportions.  Wingspan and torso are far bigger considerations and limitations.  Plus taller men tend to have shorter sitting height ratios.  Most height disparities are in the legs, most tall men are not built like Armie Hammer or Chris Hemsworth, the vast majority I see are built like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (maybe less extreme).
