Since external lengthens along the mechanical axis and internal along the anatomical axis (ragarding femurs since in tibia its the same),how does the LoN method lengthen?
1)Is it along the anatomical or mechanical axis?
Also:2)Is the LoN method capable of correcting any possible misalignment?
3)Since with the LoN method one still has to go through the knee, risking permanent knee pain, is it better to do tibia with classic Illizarov or TSF full external frames?
Thank you for any answers!

1. Anatomical, otherwise you'd get a weird bend in the bone
2. Yes, because the internal nail isn't attached on both sides of the break yet, and the nail isn't big enough itself to block the correction of misalignments.
3. Yes.
