So I mean the large soft ice wraps like these: https://www.amazon.com/Leg-Ice-Pack-Magic-Gel/dp/B0825R1XZV (except different shape perhaps, and wrapped around lower leg instead)
I've met internal tibia patients who said that the first 4-5 weeks after the internal tibia precise surgery, you can have alot of pain just from the recovering surgical wounds. None of them have large ice wraps with them where they live, which surprised me. Ozboy recommended them and they are absolutely amazing for pain, maybe the most important object I used aside from the grabber
When I did gnail femurs, I would often wrap my right hip in ice wraps for like 1-2 hours (swapping between two sets of ice wraps as one got warm) after clicking to deal with the right hip pain. I didn't notice any side effects from doing this and it worked alot better than painkillers for my post clicking right hip pain for gnail. I don't believe the doctor has tested this and most people wouldn't go to these lengths to buy two sets of ice wraps to be able to continually swap them out to ice wrap for like 1-2 hours at a time.
But I feel like if I did internal tibia precise surgery, I would be very tempted in the first few weeks to just continually ice wrap the legs (I mean when I'm not stretching, so any time I'm not stretching or sleeping) to numb the pain. However, I mean I sort of wonder how long you can do this before you start interfering with the actual healing in practice. I have not met any patients here in Athens who have tried ice wrapping the lower legs where they live (except maybe using some smaller ice packs), they all just beared out the pain with pills / sleeping pills etc except during physio when we use their larger cold water cooled ice wraps
1. When you tried this, how long did you often wrap them?
2. Did it cause you any noticeable problems after doing it?
I mean I know that during PT in Athens, we ice wrap the legs anyway (but not for like an hour+ at a time, more like less than 15 minutes)

Sorry, my OP is way too long
TLDR:
1. When you tried this, how long did you often wrap them?
2. Did it cause you any noticeable problems after doing it?
