It’s impossible to grow 17cm in any way or form after your plates close except through limb lengthening

Leg plates close at the average of 16 in males, but the spine's and clavicle's remain open until 25~6.

With that said, all studies point to only a marginal longitudinal growth between the ages of 20 and 25.
