Hey, guys. I have a question for you here. I currently wish to extend the 6 cm tibia with Dr. giotikas. He handles the TSF method. He replied that it was good for me to stay in Athens in three months. Is the TSF method an operation to remove the intramedullary nail after returning home in 3 to 4 months as with the LON method? Is the TSF method the same operation as the LON method?

To my knowledge he usually uses the Taylor Spatial frames for externals only which means wearing the frames from surgery on until the bone fully consolidates. This can  take at least 6 months and more.

The other patient who does LON at the moment wears different looking frames but maybe they are still called TSF. I don't know.

Just e-mail Dr. Giotikas (athensbjr) and ask they reply within a few days and know more than many of us.

When I asked a question, he answered only the cost and the length of stay. I didn't think he would offer an intramedullary nail.
