I'm considering a bilateral because I really don't feel safe having both legs broken at the same time.I want to have at least one healthy leg,in case something goes wrong or the process is unbearable.
And there are also other advantages(faster and easier recovery,+50% mobility,-50% pain, minor risk of fat embolism, more bearable process, the benefits of having 1 healthy leg ecc)

Yes, right. I would do the same, what I mean is that if you wanted to use Albizzia, for example, there would be advantages for sure, but the risk of bad regeneration stays there, while with Precice, you avoid that crap easily.

Why a guy living in 2017 should even consider using a prehistorical crap like Albizzia ? 😂

Quote from: The Dreamer on September 15, 2017, 11:19:46 AMWhat are you talking about ? Unilater requires half anesthesia time and therefore half meds. And even though it could be an extra cost, this would be max 500$,not a double surgery price !

Ok. Good luck , maybe because you are smarter than anyone else they Are going to do It for you

Quote from: The Dreamer on September 15, 2017, 09:24:38 AMI think all reasonable doctors,if are not greedy salesmans, should allow you to do that because:
-you are using 1 device for time(nails or ilizarov frames) so the cost should be halved
-unilateral implies half surgery, half meds and half time of operation for obvious reasons
-after finishing 1 unilateral, you will be forced to do the another one in order to have the legs of the same size so you will respect the deal.
When i will go for a consultation,i'm gonna test the doctors asking that.If he refuses to do that,he is clearly a clammy moneymaker and for consequence he must be avoided at all costs.
Implying double costs for two unilateral is simply unacceptable. All of you should test your own doctor on this topic before choosing him, even though you are not interested in splitting the process
I'm not gonna list all the pros of two unilateral against the contros(only time,if the same price is allowed).
We patient must start to command the game.
If one doctor refuses 20.000$ safe and certain against 40.000$ incertain, well he is a salesman and so :"Adieu"
It gonna be funny

I agree a lot of doctors just dont give a crap because in their country they dont have malpractice laws or their laws are very blurry and not strict.... So that is why they do anything as long as they get paid

I'm not smarter than anyone else.I'm just saying that i will contract that,it seems to me a reasonable deal.In the worst  case i will consider maybe a small charge(+5% or less).
Doctors get the money and i get my height ammount.I don't think they will risk to loose real 30.000$ and a real patient.
Doing that will also allow me to avoid all mercenary doctors which are the worst in the world.See for example Guichet that wanted to wake up Unicorn from the general anesthesy because he wanted her to pay the extra charge.
If you like mercenary doctors,it's a your problem

I dont like mercenary doctors , but a good doctor select its patients and doesnt give a crap for loosing a patient Who doesnt want to Pay its fees , so good luck getting a desperate doctor who needs to accept your financial conditions.

Well said.
If someone wants to break the legs to do the most extreme cosmetic surgery out there, he is willing to pay many k's of euros-dollars and his problem is if he pays 10 or 11,5 or 7,8% more for unilateral compared to bilateral, then good luck with that.
Especially if he thinks it is a clever move to bargain for a few bucks with a doctor.

Imo no serious doctor would operate a patient who is willing to give 40-50 k euros but don't want to pay 3-4.000 for unilateral.
And after all unilateral is usually a bad decision but this is another topic. That's why only a few choose unilateral from bilateral.

The stating "unilateral is usually a bad opinion" is an your opinion and I respect that, being you also a Veteran. But for safety's sake is obvious that it is waaay better than having 2 broken legs and praying God all gonna be ok.
And I will change the doctor only if he charges huge ammounts of money.Lke I said before i want to avoid mercenaries.I bet that a reliable doctor won't make differences.
However Bodybuilder i would like you to answer at my topic "Questions to LL veterans",there are 4 questions related to LL
