I did LON femur this summer. i’m 2 months into consolidation and i noticed that my left leg is a little shorter. Is this fixable when i will remove the internal nails?
yes, i did it in turkey
no, i will not say who was my surgeon
Is not bad, as other doctors said but who is happy with uneven legs?.. i’m guessing about 0.5-1cm discrepancy. i can’t figure out how much because i couldn’t found in my country x-ray machine that does precise measurements and measurements from turkey were different every other day.
thank you all
Can you post an x-Ray?
The x-ray is not in full length, so we can not see it clearly

Go get an Xray , ask for a Disk , it has a software for viewing , use the measurement tool from bone top to bone end to see if the uneven is from LL or else .

I know they’re uneven already. I had my x-rays before the surgery. legs were even before.
My question was, do you guys know if is fixable when i will remove the internal nails?
weird that the short leg is the one that gave me most of the problems now but was the most flexible during lengthening.
Only another surgery can fix this. 1cm is not that bad. I have 0,5cm discrepancy in my femur since my puberty ended and I dont expierience any problems. In fact Paley said, that a lot of people (like 30-40% im not sure how much he said) have leg discrepancy. The problem is when it exceeds 1,5cm. You can live with 1cm pretty fine

Your choices are , lengthen the short one now , or shorten the long one now . when you remove the nails , the 1 CM is already set (bone healed)
it will be a lot more trouble to fix it later .
If you plan on live your the 1CM , get ready for some HIP problem when you are older .

How can I lengthen the short one now? is been 2 months since i removed the frames. the nail is fixed with screws

your case started to sound like a medical malpractice.
before removing the frame, your doctor did not check if both legs are same length?
you can still remove the screws and put the frame back in , but a little bone breaking is required depend how fast you heals .
