As an LL patient, while you're going back home, you will need a lot of help.
Once you go inside the airport the staff will help you fly. But how do manage to go inside with all your luggage on crutches or a wheelchair? And once you land again, you need help to take you inside your cab. Do airlines staff help with things like this or are they involved only while you are inside the airport building?
What kind of airport assistance can you expect?

You mean I can let them know in advance and they will pick me up from "outside" the airport? I know this might seem trivial but after the taxi dumps my luggage and me and drives away I will need help to go inside.

I actually couldn't believe it but I was just happy to be in a different country. If I couldn't walk with crutches, I would have Ivar crawled to my wheelchair. But if you don't have any assistance I think being able to walk with crutches is important before flying.
Sorry to hear this man!
I called up an airlines and asked them and they said they would only help onboard and offboard. So as you say if you can't use crutches it would be hard. Doing precice alone and traveling is out of the picture.
