This has been weighing on me a bit lately: Could I ever be a proper 6'1 guy?
Sure I might get the height but will I ever have the look or something resembling the build? My skeleton might not be big enough to carry a tall height off.
So how important do you think this is, even if I somehow lenghten my arms I'll end up with smaller shoulders, hands and width than someone born taller. What do you think, is this something to be worried about?
Will we ever look as good as naturally tall men?
U can look even better since longer tibias make the body look leaner, there s a sweet spot imo, if u pass it u will look worse which for me is 5cm on tibs on a a5'10 guy
Well there you have it then at 6'1 I'll have passed the "sweet spot". Only by about an inch though. It also puts my dream height (or close enough) of 189-190CM out of reach -but I guess I knew that already.

The key word is proportion, which varies from individual to individual and by sex. Girls can get away with extra long limbs better than guys because men with long limbs tend to look effeminated. I started out with a very short pair of legs to begin with. So with 8cm, my proportion is now excellent. But I'm not sure what I will look like with 5-6cm more in the femur. But at the same time, you can compensate for your long limbs by building up a massive upper body and wide shoulders and armour legs. It will look great.
Thanks man, My legs can definitely handle about 7-9CM more but my arms and shoulders aren't very big. I'm still in my late teens and I'm roughly 20kg lighter than my dad (8CM taller) who is no bodybuilder either, would you say I might fill out naturally or maybe if I gain weight along with my new height?

anything more than 8 cms and you are the freak of nature.

Really?
You're not being sarcastic? I think I have a decent chance to pull of 8CM and there are certainly people with more favorable proportions than me.

Why can't you go for 10-12 cms or 5-6"?
I meant that 8CM is the most I would do without somehow lenghtening my arms as well. My proportions at 186-187 would be less than ideal I'm afraid but tolerable. It's mostly my arms that hold me back if they were only 3CM longer I could probably make it all the way to 190-191 (12CM increase) proportions wise at least.
I would not go higher than that anyway. I would be thrilled to be that tall and also my frame would be tiny as it is.
My wingspan is 170.
Currently height is 174.
Without commenting on my wingspan, Bagirov suggests me 7-8 cm tibiae until 181-182 cm.
Then, I want more, another 4 cm, which makes me 186 cm.
He did not mention my arm proportions.
But that's freakish isn't it.
I will NOT lengthen my humerus if I am 181-182 cm. I think the 11-12 cm arm discrepancy is not noticeable unless you look hard enough. If I wear singlets, it is always not discernible.
But if, I wanna do my femur, and lengthen my both humerus, that would be a total of 176 cm wingspan, with a height of 186 cm, which might not be that noticeable also, as that would be 10 cm difference.
