My goal is to broaden my frame and I need this so bad to look more attractive. A bad shoulder to hip ratio as of currently due to narrower shoulders.

I just talked to Paley he said to absolutely not do clavicle lengthening with distraction osteogenesis he mentioned that his patient was in constant discomfort afterwards and was begging him to reverse it ( I can only imagine this happening in a foreign country where they will just kick you out the door and your on your own and sweep it under the rug).
Mind you the worst part is this was only 2cm per side nothing too crazy either. (Some of you are asking for 3+ cms)

Any other recommendations reviews or anything about clavicle lengthening?

I heard eppley stopped doing it. The only other places are Zem Germany and Leif rogers(distraction osteogenesis). I have a consultation coming up with Leif if there is anything I should tell him let me know down below (I will bring up paleys advice).

Why can't traction be used for bone surgery? Isn't this the best solution

I am not sure, paley only did it on one patient and it was a failure. Other surgeons however have done it multiple times with great results including satisfied patients and in one doctor increased shoulder movement (Dr Leif Roger’s, zem germany, Dr Simon lambert). Dr lambert is the shoulder surgeon who has done this 7+ times with distraction method (improved shoulder function because 6 of 7 had clavicular hypoplasia, the other one was for aesthetics). Dr Roger’s suggested it was ac joint arthritis but I’m not sure.

Side note, it seems 2-3cm is max per shoulder before shoulder loss occurs. I think one reason to this is because of the clavicles s shape Wheras the leg bones are straighter.

oi laddie, the thing is, when it comes to clavicles its one of these things that you just have to learn to live with you know? same as a small skull

there is nothing you can do to properly widen the clavicles, that would leave you functional and able to be athletic afterwards

its a meme surgery and as you pointed out yourself even eppley stopped doing it, when he is known to be quite adventurous with the cases he works on

i suggest you drop that whole idea and focus on only safe and proven procedures such as leg lengthening
