Hey I live in Egypt and was looking for options to get the surgery on my femurs. I found this doctor online and it seems like he's the only one in Egypt who can do it.
Did anyone have any experience with this Doctor recently? I see that people complained about him a long time ago but the whole idea of getting this surgery in a different country and the higher cost makes me want to confirm weather he's actually good or not.

Thanks :)

It's around ~10k for LON and ~55k for Precice. He looks like he's legit he got a number research papers and attends conferences with Dr Paley and the big guys. So he feels more like a doctor than a salesman.

All in all I just wanted to check if anyone here had experience with him because I'm planning to get the surgery later next year and was weighing my options in Egypt.

this doctor is a known butcher

the fact that you live in egypt and he is the only doc in your country that does it does not mean that its a good idea, as the risk of getting crippled is highly elevated with him

as you see the precice surgery price is in line with all the western docs since the nails themselves are like 25k for the pair so if you were looking to do precice with him then avoid at all costs

if youre strapped for cash and can only do the 10k LON then i guess you can roll the dice on getting your tibs butchered by him, but you need to prepare with a backup orthopedic surgeon that will be ready to assist asap if sheet goes sideways

stuff that can get focked are:
pin site infections -> deep bone infection
misalignment of the axis not corrected immediately
non union

not to mention that he needs to insert the trauma nails properly straight down and hammer them fully in the bone so the top end doesnt stick out and rub your subpatellar tendon from behind

ive not seen any xrays of his work so dont know if he knows how to do those basic things

How do you know that "this doctor is a known butcer", is it hearsay or do you have documentation with x-rays, etc.?

With searching the internet it seems like he's not the only doc that offer LL in Egypt.
