Being European, I have chosen to undergo in the future this operation with Giotikas whom is the most competent according to my researches in Europe (I know that Becker Is not an orthopedist and he sends you back home after a few weeks which is terrible for rehabilitation). As Rozbruch adviced one should choose an experieced surgeon who knows how to treat possible complications (I would perform femurs +8 cm with g nail and I am afraid of possible late union which is irreversible with this method). So the question is: is Giotikas experienced enough to treat possible complications too? And are complication surgeries included in the price?

If something goes wrong, what matters is not only doing the surgery, but knowing how to manage delayed healing, nail issues, alignment problems, soft tissue tightness, or possible revision decisions properly. For possible complications you should choose a surgeon who has much wider complication management experience and proper follow-up structure. And no, usually complication surgeries are not just “included” automatically in the base price. You need to ask that very clearly in writing, because many clinics become vague once a real complication happens. I believe his price does not cover complications.
