Hi Guys,
New here.
Just been wondering what you guys think about getting the procedure done there.
https://llcigroup.com/en/limb-lengthening-surgery-process/
This doctor has devised a new method he calls MTN which is a mostly internal method, similar to Precise and Fitbone, but its manual in the sense that you have to turn a screw for the lengthening to work. The nails are also titanium and (I suppose) biocompatible. Apparently the Precise nails cost 10-30k themselves so if they have their own nails manufactured in Iran it must be a lot cheaper there. Maybe like 25k or something (usd). For me, it’s the only option I have because of the price. Also, I have family in Iran so I won’t need to pay for accommodation. Also there’s the care you can get with every day life there. I also found this scientific article which claims that the procedure has had a good track record:
https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00402-014-2069-6
It seems to come from a reputable journal but I don’t know how much we can trust the data reported by the researchers. One of the publishers is the doctor doing the surgeries. Idk, just want to get some opinions here. And also want to know if anyone has heard anything.
If there is anyone here who's had an experience with this doctor please let me know.
