He knows me very well, man. We have talked already.
Everybody knows me, so my doctor should have been VERY CAREFUL with me... not to cripple me again and again and again ! .... I was very understanding with him and I supported him against people who was talking sh-it about him.... But he didnt understand that he must have been focussed on ME, the most important patient he ever had for LL, especially because he could get with me a good reputation and lots of money !

I will do a video in Dis-cord with all my story when i will finish and i will be fixed my multiple deformities. But now i suffer and i am not in good mood. When i do something, i do it in detail and very elaborated.

Again, for people this forum is the most important information source. Everybody comes here first and foremost.
In Dis-cord they maybe go 20%, maximum...

Thank you

Wow, 55 and stepping into the OR, that’s some grit. How did the first night and early PT sessions treat you? Pain levels manageable? Any update?

Considering all you've been through, seeing you walking is heart-warming, man!!!

It is a pity you placed your trust in such wrong doctor; Turkey is an absolute  -hole regarding LL surgery. This forum is a testimony of horror stories from this country.

Your legs don't look that bad at all from aesthetic perspective. Don't give up, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Keep fighting.

Well, last year before deformities, I was walking 100 metres much faster... without canes and no pain !
So, walking like this is a nightmare for me...

Regarding why I chose my doctor, I explained in detail in my diary, and few other times.

Yes, my legs fortunately dont look bad, THANKS GOD !... because could be much worse, with visible deformities and red ugly scars... If that had happened, it would have been serious because I could quickly fall into depression...
Thats why now, since March when I saw my new deformities, I am still mentally stable waiting for a good doctor to have time for me and fix my legs.

But, now I have another tough problem: the money. Because all the good doctors calculated for me that I have to pay minimum 30.000 $ for tibias, 15.000 $ for left femur and another 20.000 $ for removing all metals after all... so a total of a MINIMUM of 65.000 $ !!
And all these extra money I have to pay is because of an incompetent doctor... who didnt even apologize or show me any regret for that !

Hey Ted.... I'm so sorry everything has been so difficult for you lately. Reading your diary helped me through the pain when I was doing LL last year. You are very strong and inspiring for doing this at such an old age. Stay strong man.

Since now there's a actual deformity, are you able to use insurance to claim the $65k?

No, nobody is doing that, because everybody knows i did CLL, so i paid big money.
Not even in Canada they dont do removing nails covered by insurance anymore...

Thank you for sharing your experience in such detail. I think the Turkish doctor did a good job — it’s impressive that he replaced the nail when it bent without charging you extra. Your femur also seems to have recovered quite well.

The issue, in my opinion, may have come from attempting to lengthen the tibia while your femur hadn’t fully healed yet. That likely put extra strain on your body.

However, keep looking forward — stay patient, keep exercising, and give your tibia some time to heal. My advice is to buy a stationary exercise bike. It’s great for bone recovery because it promotes circulation and mobility without putting your full body weight on your legs.

If cost is a major concern, I know that in Vietnam, some doctors can remove the metal parts— at least in the lower legs — for a very affordable price.
