Update: Hello! Finally finished lenghtening and back in home country. What a journey this has been. Grateful to God that everything went smoothly to allow me in finishing this process. I'm very happy with my current height, and all my friends are impressed with how much taller I've gotten.

Bone growth seems good after final check up, and I'll wait for a month before sending another x ray to check if I can walk. Currently taking mk677 and many other supplements to boost recovery, so I trust it will be quick.

Very happy to be back home with my family and friends, will update again when I can walk!

1 month post lenghtening update: Muscles getting much looser, and it feels great to be almost able to walk. This month wasn't easiest, being stuck at home most of the time, but my friends(bless them) have visited every week, making the process much more enjoyable. My parents have also taken me out every week to walk the seaside, which helps my mental state so much.

Going to get an xray done these few days, and hopefully bone callus has grown well and hardened.

I am definitely forutunate to be able to complete the process within the ideal timeframe. Another patient in my batch that I was friends with is still stuck in his lenghtening process, as his muscles were too tight. I can't imagine having to spend another month there, especially with other patients done and leaving. To future patients: definitely bring family/friend to be with you if you can, and be prepared for extended stays due to complications. Hopefully your journey will go smoothly.

Will update after getting xray results, stay strong

Congratulations my friend, the switch from 5'4 to 5'7.5 must have been legendary for you. Do you have any doubts about the current odds, specifically your regarding the height of your hands off the ground?

Thanks a lot! Yeah the difference is unbelievable, cant wait to be walking to feel how I'm treated differently when I'm tall. I assume you're talking about proportions? Proportions wise everythings great, highly doubt one could tell that I've done the surgery. My legs and arms look perfectly normal in respect to my height.

Update: just did an xray, will get results in a few days, hoping for the best!

Are you able to walk without crutches now? Does it feel strange when you walk?

As for now I still havent received clearance to walk. The last xray was said to have good bone growth, but is still far from walking stage.

It has been a month since, and I'll be doing another x ray this week. It has been quite tiring not being able to walk, but with my family and friends, I'm living good given the circumstances. Hopefully I'll be able to get the clearance after this xray. God bless.

Hello, if it's convenient, could you share your pain level throughout the process? The more specific the better, as I'm currently researching this myself, but I'm particularly concerned about the pain.

Did you have the surgery done in Abu Dhabi? I remember the surgeries there were performed in September, but in your post, it was on October 6th? Did they stay there for that long?

I am happy you respect the mandatory time required for Precice. Nobody should stand-up before the 6 months from femur surgery day !... I stayed 6 months in the wheelchair like a good boy, because i didnt want to bend and damage my nails and screws. But i was walking normally in a very salted and warm water pool, just to prepare my bones and joints for 2 months before, twice a day, so i was prepared for the first stand-up. It was tough and painful... but this is the best way to prepare !
And my decision was a bless for me, because i found months later that my Precice nails were re-used many times by my sh-itty doctor, was extra sterilized with very high temperature so can kill all bacterias, which weakened the metal strength and prone to bend much easier than a one time use nail !
If you have read my diary, you know that my left femur nail bent by itself at only 40 mm lengthening and they had to replace it right away... with another re-used one, of course !
