The reason I plan on doing LL is because I don't think I've ever grown. I'm 18 now and 5'3.

I remember being in 6th grade and being measured at 4'11. I remember being in 7th grade and being measured at 5'1 and then 8th grade at 5'2, freshman year 5'3,  and that was it. But I hardly even remember growing then.

It's been awkward ever since then, every time I see extended family or friends from a long time ago. They're all expecting me to be much taller but I still look like I did when I was 13 lol. Meanwhile my friends have all outgrown me from me being on par with them at 5'2-5'3 in 8th
grade to them being 5'8-6' now.

I just can't believe it, I always thought I'd have my growth spurt at age 14-15 where boys grow 3+ inches per year and it never happened. I didn't get facial hair until I was 15, so I was excited. I spent such a long time waiting, always checking my height and measuring nyself and trying to come up with some evidence of growth sigh but I've always been fooling myself and I really have not grown AT ALL. Unless of course my big growth spurt was from 4'11 at age 12 to 5'2 at 14, then wtf is that?

I just feel like I've been cheated. I'm not taller than my dad, my parents are 5'6 and mom is 5'1. I should have at least been 5'4, 5'5 but nope 5'3. I think I got some genes from my grandpa who is fking like 4'11 or 4'10 because when you put it into perspective with him I look like I had a normal growth spurt when I see my friends and their grandparents. Except they're like 5-5 5'6 and they are all 5'10+.

Being a 5'3 man would be pretty tough. Although both your parents are very short and you are in the predicted mid parental height range so it looks like your growth was normal. Have you checked that your growth plates are fused?

5'3 can be just a little below average, depending on where you live. It's all genes, though. You probably inherited the genes for closing your growth plates sooner. Don't worry too much about what could have been. Just decide right now whether you wanna do LL or not and then plan accordingly. Simple as that, really.

That's exactly how I feel mate, even though I grew till 18. My height fits in better with 16 year olds than full grown adults, feels like I lost out on that last spurt which should have given me 7-10CM.

Exactly. I mean I had the worst nutrition (parental negligence) from 9 to 17 so idk. But it's strange to have a wingspan 10cm more your height so that's what I always thought anyways. I'm 163cm by the way

The only times I felt less than an adult were times when authority figures would put me down or speak to me very condescendingly. It seemed like I got the worst of the bad attitude from teachers and coaches in school because I was shorter and they felt more at ease with putting me down. I had friends on the football team freshman year of high school who still tell me now that they can't believe how badly I was treated by the coaching staff. I was benching 275 lbs at a body weight of 160 yet I was put on the sidelines in every single game because I was 5'4 at the time. Eventually I stopped showing up to practice until my dad found out and made me suit up and apologize to the coach and ask to be put on the team again.

Funny thing though, it didn't end well because after I apologized the coach immediately said "You think you deserve to play during games?" and I responded "Yeah because I show up to every practice and I'm stronger than most of the guys on this team", to which he replied "Well you can suit up and stay on the sidelines again but you're not playing at all." I lost it and shouted "Just because you're a fat f***ing d***head it's not my problem!" Everyone was laughing at the coach and I got suspended after he escorted me to the Vice Principal, but people still remember it to this day. Totally worth it Does anyone else feel like they never "grew up"?

I stopped growing at 14 so yes I feel very stunted. Other than keeping my growth plates open via hormones, I dont think there was anything I could have done(And how was I supposed to get hormonal drugs at 13?)
