So I did 7-8 cms tibia through purely ex-fix and I have quite tight Achilles tendon (but still able to sprint, jump 20 centimetres, do leg presses, etc, and jog reasonably for at least 600 metres at a fast pace).

I want to do 4 cm femurs but I wonder if the same muscle groups are stressed? Like the Achilles, gastrocnemius, hamstrings, iliotibia band?

So I am taking an additional risk to my soft tissue flexiblity if I do 7 cm tibia + 4 cm femur, vs  If I did just 4 cm femur alone.

I don't have an answer for you but I was wondering when did you do your surgery and with who?

As someone who did them back to back.  Yes, those muscle groups are all tied to each other.  I did the tibia's first and when the doc cut me up to do the femurs, he also did a nerve release so that I would be less likely to lose feeling in my legs.  Also my achilles, gastroc, and soleus were all flexible at the end of the tibia lengthening, however once I started my femurs, they became really tight and I had to do therapy to stretch all those muscles throughout my femur lengthening.  Since you have some more time between surgeries, you probably wont need a nerve release but your muscles will all be affected for some time.
