So, you're going to do LATN femurs then which is more safe than LON femurs in terms of getting osteomyelitis.

IMO, if you're going to pay more than 20k Euro for that, you'd better wait and go to Turkey for PRECICE femur for about 40k USD and avoid those external frames at all.

I know that PRECICE is not weight bearing and being wheelchair bound is worse than having external frames on femurs and retaining the ability to walk due to weight bearing but in the end of the day, doing PRECICE and being wheelchair bound for about 4-5 months is much better than doing external femurs and avoiding wheelchair.

For me price is a big factor , I can put up with externals for 3 months if I must for femurs , while they are putting the externals on they are also putting inside the internals all in one surgery. It’s double the money to do price.

I understand that money is the issue for most of us, but if you end up with serious complications, you'll regret not waiting for a bit more in order to get it done with proper internal nails. That's why I'm saying that if money is an issue external tibia is by far the safest and cheapest solution for a quick 2-3 inch height and after that if one still feels the need to do femurs, it's better to start saving aggressively and do the surgery in the safest way possible which is fully internal for femurs.

Ostemoyelitis is not a joke and with pure externals on tibia you're much safe preventing it rather than doing LON on tibia or femur. So, PRECICE remains the safest option for femur lengthening ATM.

I know what you are saying , but I met some patients who did Salameh fix on femurs and they were happy with their outcomes

IDK man, after I lengthen tibia for 2.5-3.0 inches, I'll be in a situation where I have to either wait for 5+ years for internal femurs or risk with LON femur for that additional 2-2.5 inch gain in order to stand at solid 5'10-5'11 range and forget about LL. I will be able do LON femur in about 2 years after I recover from tibia, but I won't be able to afford PRECICE MAX till my late 30s.

It's very tempting to risk and gain that additional height as soon as you can when your only choice is LON femur, but I'm afraid of osteomyelitis like rabies and that's the sole reason I'm mentally against that option for now.

Since your frame has already been removed, would it be possible for you to post a current picture?
