Good morning,

I have a question. Many have got naturally more or less bowed legs, I was wondering if LL on tibias would aggravate a small bowing issue, and to what extent. It seems to depend on where the bone is cut, if cut at 1/3 of the bone length, at first view the bone would regenerate straight and avoid a worsened bowed legs issue. But I'm not sure at all, somebody has got infos about that ?

Thanks

Hi Tnak10,
Dr Salameh told me recently that he could straighten my bowed legs with his Salamehfix ext tibial fixator. He suggested that it would be relatively straightfoward to make the necessary adjustments during lengthening. I hope he is right...

I also hope so. Does Dr. Salameh ask to pay more for this correction ?

No extra cost. It just involves adjusting the turn increments while lengthening

When the doctor doesn't perform a correct surgery he can cause misalignment

The doctor caused all the misalignments I've seen. In this surgery you need precision. Even a slight malplacement (1 mm) can cause misalignment. The worst part is they don't accept they have caused it.
