Hello. I am from the UK and i am 22 years old and am 141cm tall which is around 4ft7. I am looking into going to the U.S this year to have a consultation with Dr Paley and Dr Rozbruch and hopefully have my surgery this year. I have a few questions before i fly out and hope someone on this forum may be able to help.
Does anyone know how long the consultation wait for both surgeons are and how long after the consultation the wait is?
I am planning on doing either 8cm in Femur or doing 5cm in Femur and 5cm in Tibia as i believe there is less risk doing 5cm and my proportions will be better and 10cm will help me get up to 4ft 11. What is everyones opinion? Do you think 2 surgerys is riskier than 1.
I understand after 3 months you are able to fly home. Do you think this is realistic and has anyone on here had the surgery and flown home after three months?
Thanks

Hi
Even one surgery is risky. But if u go to a top class doctor like Paley or rozbruch u can definitely minimize the chances of a complication occuring. There are other good doctors too but these two are on the top of the pyramid.
10 cms or more spread over tibias and femurs would definitely be the better and rational choice.
It's up to you to decide and plunge into this after all the research and consult some doctors.
Best of luck
