I did my femurs with Betz in Oct '21 and I've had only positive experience with him. I ended up doing 9.8cm on Left and 10.2cm on Right due to pre-existing length discrepancy. I didn't have to do IT band release and I'm doing fine. I still have some duck ass, and slight hip sway while walking without crutches but it's getting better every week.
I'd definitely recommend Betz. He and his team are some of the most experienced in LL.

He seems great but since he is quite old now (probably the older LL surgeon) we should consider who is going to do surgeries going forward at his institute.
Betz is a phenomenal and wonderful surgeon.
Did he offer a soft or proper ITB release?
I say this because a lot of people seem to be paying externally for a proper ITB release because around 8cm they say it gets a big too tight, and right after ITB release, they say they notice a huge difference?
