Hello,

is it true that if we lengthen like 8cm on the femur it will be in reality only 7 cm because of the angle of the femural?

Thanks you.

Hi AlphaX
That is not true at all! If you lengthen like 8cm using Stryde or something similar, you will gain almost 8 cm.  Loss of height duet to the angle of the femurs is almost negligible. So don't worry about it.

Thanks for reply ! I was considering External on femur but it seems very painfull and if there is a complication it's harder to do correction on the femur than on the tibia if it's external..

Hi Alpha,

Internal Femur is the best option. 3 inches of new height will change your life and the recovery for femurs is much easier. Within months post-surgery; you're back to walking great again.

Within how many months would you say a person could walk normally again after 8cm bro? How much height did you gain exactly from 8cm of femur lengthening?
