Any South Koreans in the forum or recent Donghoon patients?

Hey guys I'm planning on doing LL with DARLI in South Korea. Things seem to have changed from the last time I contacted them about 5 years ago. They were offering 70 free PT sessions and giving me estimates on renting apartments nearby. Now there is no free PT sessions and they advertise staying in the hospital or hotels the cheapest being around $50 per day which would still be in the thousands for 3 months. I've barely scrapped enough funds to cover the surgery + flights and accommodation so that won't be a viable option for me.

It seems like they will cover the basics but you'll be pretty much on your own to find your own accommodation and do PT on your own. Not only will I be doing one of the most traumatic surgeries in the world but I will have to learn to fend for myself in a foreign country while practically being a cripple. I'm sure you guys can understand how daunting that is. I was hoping I could speak to any international patients of Donghoon or a South Korean for some advice to get a lay of the land. Well, figure out what's so special about the physical therapy that you can emulate for yourself. You really only need to attend a week of classes to understand what is done.

$1,500 a month is very reasonable. I checked Airbnb and I'm seeing $1,000 monthly rates for the middle of Seoul. This is mainly on you to check and verify when you're already spending tens of thousands on LL

Why are you going with him in that case? Is it because you're going for a tibial extension >6cm?

If you're doing femur, shoot, just go Assayag.

Honestly for me personally physical therapy was very necessary during the Leg lengthening phase,they give the push that u are not able to do it ur self which is necessary, if u can push 100 percent everyday in ur home than yeah maybe not much pt but for most people at who think they can do that it is pretty noticeable for me,when their is outpatient day at my a clinic every 2 weeks or so at dr donghoon lee people who I never seen before and people who I always see since I’m at pt everyday their condition on average is quite difffent.

It's reasonable in that it's not 3000 per month but where I'm from that's a very expensive 1 bed apartment with no kitchen. Yes it's a hotel but I won't be able to use most of their facilities like the gym and swimming pool. Yes it's on me to check that's my point. It's more work for me whereas before they would've helped you get an apartment and getting one without a South Korean in Korea to liaison for me is impossible. That's why I said they have changed. I will likely have no choice to but to eat the cost of the hotel.

Yes I want to do tibias. I go with him cause of the price and experience he has. I don't trust others except for Paley but he's unaffordable to most.

It's probably better do PTs at the clinic because of the help and you have other people to boost your morale. I would do PT at the clinic if it's within my budget. Hey I sent you a DM did you receive it?

While it’s best to do PT at the clinic everyday it’s not possible for some patients since it is quite expensive so if u do pt everyday u still have to push urself yes,  but if u reduce ur pt to like 3 or 4 per week than u should be working harder at wherever u are staying. I also been to some patients apartments and eat dinner near the hospital which they pay less than 900 dollar per month compare to 1500 dollar for the hotel but the bed is quite small it’s like a studio apartment comes with kitchen u can probably get like pictures or tour not sure but u want to go that route u can just ask ur translator.

How many doctors do one doctor have 5000 cases?
NEWBORN Orthopaedics is undervalued, but I think the surgery is the best. And the price is cheap.
He's the only doctor who can talk to the patient on his personal phone
