Fellas,
I’m considering CLL with Dr. Giotikas for 7.5cms femur. He fits my budget, and seems to have decent reputation. Any  suggestions / concerns are welcomed for questions below as I haven’t seen any diaries of Giotikas for femur.
1. Has anyone had a bad experience with him or know any case? (Any positive or negative examples)
2. Does taking testosterone boosters during consolidation phase accelerates the recovery?
3. Any idea that how many CLL has he done or does annually?

Budget: $75000
Current height: 172.5cms (Aim: 180cms)
Weight: 73kg

Hey there!

I am also strongly considering Dr Giotikas for femurs (6 or 7cm) with stryde.

I am having an online consult with him tomorrow morning (Australian time) so I will ask some questions that I have and also find out how many CLL surgeries he has done annually.

Hey Cobra,

Had a great consult with Dr Giotikas. There wasn't enough time to ask all questions I had but he did explain the surgery and process quite well. I felt as if he was quite upfront about the seriousness and potential complications of the surgery and it didn't come across as a sales pitch which was great (said that serious complications happen in 2-3% of cases). He doesen't allow patients to lengthen more than 5cm on the tibias and 8cm on the femurs and says femurs are generally safer to do, which echoes what is discussed on this forum.

He basically asked me why I wish to do CLL and how I feel it would improve my life. I think he does this as a way to weed out people who have BDD and would not benefit from the surgery. Basically, he wants to see that you live an otherwise happy life but height is one of the few things that you feel holds you back.

He performs over 100 LL's a year, although it wasn't clear how many of those were cosmetic cases. With the introduction of stryde and his rising popularity, i expect him to perform more CLL's this year than he ever has. In terms of recovery with test boosters, that is a question you can email him as there wasn't enough time to ask.

I plan to do the surgery either in Sept/Oct this year or early next year provided I can sort out the financials and sort out time off work. When did you plan on going ahead with the surgery? Maybe we will have our surgeries at a similar time.
