Simply enter the "Limb Lengthening Patients Experiences" section of the forum and start a new topic in that section to start a diary. Hope your lengthening goes well.

Dr. Peng in Sept/Oct 2015 for tibia lengthening


Curious side note are Dr. Betz & Dr. Guichet mostly work on lengthening only femurs?

Yes and they always discourage tibiae mainly because of the longer recovery. Personally I think tibiae is easier and safer for the LLer...

Why should tibial lengthening be easier or safer?
From what you read here it seems that the opposite is true, femurs recover faster, the overall longterm recovery seems better and it´s easier due to the internal device that allows earlier wheight bearing without any external fixation. The upper limits for the lengthening are also higher.
The only downsides are the costs and the looks (longer tibias look better imo).

I have been on this forum for quite long as a guest decided to make an account today 😀😀
I've met hilltop, crazy and a girl @ sarin's
Considering dr. Dhawan in mid 2016
