The closest thing to the scalp implant is a legit procedure known as a forehead augmentation which is quite popular in Asia and also there are clinics performing it here in the UK. It basically follows the same principal except on the forehead and not the scalp. That being said they outline the risks regarding trauma as well as increasing the risk of hair loss around the areas of the incision and slightly beyond that. So the scalp implant really isn't a great idea at all. That being said the original clinic in Spain that proposed this seemed to indicate it was only meant to be a temporary procedure and that patients would have the implant removed after their relevant assessments.
A 5cm implant on the skull as it would be more posteriorly wouldn't give the image of a weird shaped head as such but the risk of trauma on the skull and a ruptured implant leaking into a fractured skull is really both concerning and a little too scary to think about.
5cm wouldn‘t make it look weird? I doubt anything above 1 or max 2cm would not make you look weird. Anyways yea skull implant isn‘t really a good idea :/. Sadly there are no alternatives to LL as an adult. So to reach bigger heights you have to do it twice.
