Dear community,

Has anybody clear information about the Betzbone, and why is it possible superior to other available nails?
I read much about the new Precice Stryde and how it will improve recovery due to its weight bearing capacity. But doesn´t Dr. Betz claim that his Betzbone has been weight bearing for years?

Also, does anybody know the exact weight-bearing-capacity of the Betzbone?

I don´t mind the pain and discomfort of the manual clicking. But I care about safety and recovery.

Thank you very much, any input about the Betzbone is appreciated!

The big difference between the two is that Stryde allows reverse action (compression) which comes in handy and serves as a safe guard if things go wrong.

Another benefit is that precise 2 (and potentially precise 3) has had the best record for patient experience (least painful).

Betzbone ist fullweight bearing. It has no electronic or magnetic inside. Its similar to Guichet nail. Therefore it can not corrode. It can remain in bone after surgery forever but its not recommended. Its solid down to thinnest nails. The only disadvantage is the horrible clicking sound. Thats what I know from Dr. Betz himself.

Why do you need reverse action with Betzbone? If you hear a click you know it works. Even xrays during procedure can be limited to a minimum in comparison to other nails or methods.
Precice 2 has best record because its used more often. Precice Stryde record ist potentially as you said correctly. It gets a lot of  premature praise. So lets see how the new nail proves its quality in daily routine. I hope the best
