Hello,
I am a French 165 cm 20 years old guy planning on doing the femur Betzbone this July and to lengthen during my first engineering school year (which is a light year).
Idealistically, I wanted to lengthen for about 10 cm.
Do you think it will be possible? I might miss some lessons sometimes but will try to catchup with documents. In case of complete failure I can redo my first year also.
Do you think it is a good idea ? (I cannot have a gap year, otherwise they will reject me)

By « light year » I mean that I will have around 25~30 hours of lessons each week

hey man i being looking exactly the same did you already contact the clinic or doctor ? i read with betzbone is posible until 12cm but i would recomend not do more than 8, i will go for 7 even as i think the recovery over 7 o 8 is too long and complicated. im 168 so almost same like you

25~30 hours sounds a lot to me. It could be very stressful and also it is much more difficult to focus with two broken legs and different kinds of pains and issues that arise. If your plan is to do a large amount of lengthening (that is - 6cm+) I would advise you to not add an engineering degree to the equation. This would put you in risk to not succeed in one of the two (your lengthening or your degree).

Yes, I’ll probably won’t need to attend all the lessons though so I’ll tell the teachers.
One think I don’t like with the BetzBecker institute is that they are telling me to send a 20k€ deposit in the next 7 days in order to save the 29 July appointment. I feel like giving 7 days to decide is a bit exaggerated cause I will probably need more time to decide.

Honestly, you won't really know until it happens. I was able to do my 9-5 job while lengthening, but I was only sleeping 4-5 hours a night due to the discomfort in the legs and I was definitely not cognitively operating at 100%. However, everyone's experiences are different and some people had no such issues and were able to sleep well.

Hello,

Did you finally lock your surgery date with Becker?

I am also French, same height as you, and considering the also BetzBone (not much of a choice as i don't have the means to ho to the US, and french doctors don't do cosmetic LL, une honte..).

If you're in Paris, we can even meet if you want.
