Can you break bone callus? Weird cracking sound.

I turned over to sleep on my side 2 nights ago and I heard a pretty loud popping sound in my femur and it was very sore / slightly painful for most of the day. I can walk on it with no pain and lengthen normally. But every now and then when I twist my right leg in weird ways accidentally, it sometimes pops again, but much smaller of a sound and doesnt really hurt as much. The leg in general is just pretty sore now. It is directly coming from where the osteotomy was.

Just wondering if anyone experienced this / know what it is. I'm not sure if it is possible, but it almost feels like I fractured the callus where the bone is forming. (I am 38mm in my femur precise 2.2). But when I asked the doctor's assistant, she said it's a complaint she's had other patients experience before as well, she thinks it's the IT band. But I dont buy that, the pain is coming from within the leg where the bone is, not where my IT band is.

Saw your posts about nerve pains in tibia. What mm did you start getting them. I have them pretty bad on my right leg since around 30mm, almost happened like overnight. Taking gaba a lot, but pain is still there, Im at aroind 40mm now. The end is no where in sight, I really hope I get cant through the next 40mm. I asked doc to up the dosage of the gaba though.

It's really mostly when Im sitting down and not moving, or if im lying on my bed trying to sleep. It slowly creeps up and builds up into an intense needle/burning sensation around the shin. Cant sleep like that lol, bending the knees helps a bit and I can usually fall asleep from that, but I get pretty bad sleep.

It started for me at about 20-25mm. My tibias and feet got extremely swollen during the whole process. I was taking gabapentin but it just barely helped the pain enough to be tolerable. Couple the nerve pain from lengthening with excessive vomiting for 3 months, my LL journey was a bit crazy. All I can tell you is take it 1MM at a time, day by day. When you realize your new stature you’re going to be amazed. It may seem like there is no ending in sight, but you’re 1/3 of the way there. I tell my friends and family idk if you could pay me to endure that again.

It helps to get a nice leg pillow to put in between your knees. If you’re a back sleeper I’d recommend one that elevates your legs.

Yeah this  s horrible. I think gaba is finally helping for me, it just takes 2 weeks and I’m taking it 4x a day. However I still feel the nerve pains. Now my IT band keeps popping when I walk. I feel like something must have gotten messed up there cause when I try to do IT band stretches I can’t even feel tension on it anymore. I’ll just let it rest and hopefully everything is good again in 2-4 weeks. I feel like issues come and go.

I agree, I will never partake in this again, worse than going through hell. But I know in 8 months I’ll enjoy my new life.

Is your English okay?  I’ll never partake in it again, never said I regret it. I’m 5’9 to begin with.  Where is the contradiction?

You’re honestly so annoying. Who cares how tall people are to begin with. As long as they know it’s a hard journey and they think gaining 3 inches for life is worth that 8 month journey, let them do it. Are you some limb lengthening Nazi that enforces who is allowed to and not allows to have this surgery based off of their starting height? You certainly seem like so

i felt a pop on my tibia where the cut was made now theres a bump at the leg. not sure what that is about
