Hello I really really want to do a leg lengthening surgery. Only problem is I only have about 5k to my name in US dollars.

Quite a sad situation. Is there any place on earth that I can afford LL of about 7.5cm with the money I have? Any way to put about 3k down and then do payments monthly when I go back to America?

What are the cheapest options that actually work?

Yes you will definitely need to save more. Your best bet will be to find a foreign doctor to do external tibias, but it will still be at least 15K minimum. Read through the LL doctors page.

You PM'd me with the same question, so I'll just reply here: what they said above.

You'll definitely be looking overseas, so think about travel and visa cost. Hotel stay before surgery and accommodation if you decide to stay locally near the doctor for the lengthening phase (recommended), approximately three months. Surgery cost plus 20% in case of complications.

These doctors will most likely not accept any kind of installment plan, so if you don't have liquidity you'll need to do that stateside via loans.

in Vietnam you got 18.000 all in package. You add only 99USD Fee and travel cost. It's probably one of the cheapest options in terms of "all in", so at least you need to multiply your saved money by 4.

I have zero credit (Which I heard conflicting stories about whether it's good or bad). Would I be able to take one out and finance this surgery?

Zero credit means that you have no credit history. You have no credibility, meaning they don't have proof that you can borrow and pay back. It's going to be tough borrowing money, especially since it's for cosmetic surgery.

I have a feeling that you're young. Slow down, be frugal, set goals, and start saving.
