Hi LL community,

I'm scheduled to have my consultation with Dr. Paley this month. Let me know if you have any questions that you would like me to go through with him!

1) Is it true the internal nail lengthens along anatomic axis and changes the mechanical alignment of the femur, as it lengthens along a different axis? Does this means lengthening internal nail will cause a slight malalignment since your are not lengthening along the mechanical axis and may cause arthritis and knee pain?

2) Is it possible to correct the change in aligment with distal femoral opening wedge osteotomy and insertion of plates or with tsf/hexapod? I don’t want to have any misalignment in my legs, even the slightest one.

When’s your surgery? If you want i can send you a daily stretches to do starting 1 month pre surgery to help maximize ur odds. I hit a full 8cm from femurs Consultation w/ Dr. Paley in June - Any Questions?

Ask him:
If someone did femurs for 8cm, how long must they wait to have the best odds to achieve 8cm
