Hello guys, I had LL surgery in July last year (external Tibias) and I wonder if any of You had the experience as me. I had few x-rays taken after lengthening period and all of them indicated that I should gain 5,2-5,3 cm but when I measure myself these days it seems like I gained only around 4,8 cm. I had frames removed 1,5 month ago. I still have small contracture especially in left knee. So is it possible that because contracture I didn't reach my real height yet? I read some diaries of guys who claimed same thing. I suppose that contracture'll eventually go away, but is there any way to make it go away faster? Regards

Maybe ~6 month in frames for 5,3cm wasn't enough time.
It could be due to some compression of the bone ore even slight varus/valgus.

I don't think so, I had an x-ray taken 2 weeks after frame removal and it was 5,2-5-3 cm like when I finished lenghtening. Legs are perfectly straight except of this contracture.

We're talking less than a quarter of inch here, so it's possible that your measurements are off or it might even just be in your head.
Don't stress over it.
