Can someone be happy at 5ft 6 without doing LL after having thought about LL for a lot many years? Can you get rid of height dysphoria without LL?
Quote from: NailedLegs on October 16, 2023, 07:18:25 AMHeight isn't just about how you feel in your head, aka height dysphoria. It doesn't matter what you think. You WILL be treated worse off in society because of your short stature. In some ways large, in other ways small, but you WILL be treated differently. There IS a benefit to being taller. There IS a negative to being shorter.
Believe it or not, I don't have height dysphoria. I've been very successful romantically and financially. Yet, I am a very practical individual. I KNOW there are benefits to being taller, it's an indisputable FACT. The time and money aspect isn't that big of a hindrance to me, so I will get the surgery. I recognize a problem, so I will fix the problem. It's that simple.
Time , money, surgical risks are AN ISSUE. If not, EVERY one under 5 ft 8 would get this done.

People have literally no clue how it works and no clue how safe it is. LL is effective and safe, it just looks scary so people assume its bad and doesn't work.
you are absolutely right. Surgical risk is not big if you do it with a good surgeon.

I guess talking to a psychiatrist can help but I think most people can't get rid of Height dysphoria unless they get the surgery done.
Yeah, it varies from person to person
