Dr paley's option 5 seems to be the safest way to get the complete 8cm on tibia using internal nails

Do 4cm >>> consolidate >>> rebreak at osteotomy site after 1 year >>> 4cm more

This keeps the distraction per surgery below the safe limit for tibias(5cm) , and gives enough time for the ATL and nerves to stretch out naturally.

In theory it sounds fantastic , but has it worked out for anyone yet irl ?

Brett (screen name: abovetempo) did. He got the full 6.3 inches that way. You can see him on some of Victor's Limb Lengthening Live YouTube videos. I think he was last on episode #138.

Yeah, theoretically could be a way, because you give time to your tissues to adapt safely... but your body has organic and functional limits.
And never forget about anatomic ratio between torso, arms and legs !
