I'm trying to figure out if people experiences issues by not removing the nail.

It's 10k-15k to remove it, so I'm trying to figure out if that can be put off until later if need be rather than factored into the initial cost to save up.

Well if you're into anything high impact I'd get them removed. I like to snowboard, and one thing I wouldn't want are rods in my canals vibrating against my bones during landings.
