Hi guys,

I know many doctors either do psych evals and/or ask for a patient’s history in regards to their mental health. I have depression and social anxiety disorder, have went to therapy for many years and recently came off antidepressants around 2-3 months ago. I’m not completely recovered from being depressed either. Is that something I should choose not to disclose to a potential doctor? I plan on going to a consult or two next month and don’t want this to disqualify me. I plan on getting surgery in early May and will be absolutely committed with recovery.

Thank you. Yeah, I can imagine. It seems like an incredibly tough procedure. I actually found out this week that I'll have to push back getting it a year so I'll try preparing for it then. My height isn't the main source of my mental health issues, but it isn't helping it either.
