Surprisingly I have not been able to find an answer on this online.
If I have the rods in and maybe want to lengthen more in a year or two, is it much more expensive to get the rods out in the interim and do a whole new procedure later? I’d be down if the difference in damage is like 20k because the new procedure could be weight bearing. Plus it would be nice to not have rods.
The best answer I have is by subtracting Paley option 4 from option 5 which is about 85k for rebreaking both tibias and femurs. Which is pretty nuts i think since it’s about as much as for one single segment LL, which is why I figure I might as well take them out then

Does anyone know how much it costs to rebreak?

Basically asking if it’s better to keep a nail in and break it again if you’re not sure right now if you want to do LL twice, or to remove the nail and get a new nail in the future. The factors are cost and weight bearing vs non wb
