So I had my consultation with Dr. D, and have been geared up to do the Femur LL with him once the P.Max comes out, but I’ve been reading a lot of negativity on these forums about this doctor , apparently there are a lot of patients with complications?

I live in Houston, and plan on getting it done in LV, then return home for PT etc. His cost is somewhat affordable (saving 15-20k, financing rest) at around 80k.

I know Paley is considered the best , but he requires patients to stay during entire lengthening process. I got pets, bills work etc, can’t do that. Not to mention he charges like 100k.

I’m pretty fit, very healthy. 39, at 5’5. I really want to have this procedure done.

Any advice on who I should go to? Is Dr D still a good choice?

Off topic but when do you think the precise max will come out? Did he mention any month/year?

You know everybody bash all doctors, people forget is like f1, is not safe and it never will be, but people wanted so badyou mentioned 2 factors (price and liability) choose good doctor but most of the job is up to you, and saying  2 factors because you said you dont have time to stay there.. keep in mind if something goes wrong you need to solve it there fast. About him is  USA doctor is all safe, the only thing paley is rhe best is because he is carefool and lives in the sue sport country.. is a fight between max lenght and safe.. if you saty always in 6cm femur well you will never have complications. That doctor seems young but my point is this forum sometimes gets toxic, read but use you criteria

did my femur with DR D April 2022, no complications , no pain . still have the rod in me , being working out for 5 weeks now , squat gets a little tight . overall 9/10

fast response through email and phone call .

I stayed for 3 months after surgery before I went home , PT helps a lot the first few months .

39 , 5'6 , so we are similar build , femur should be OK . GOOD LUCK !

Tibia has way more complications than femur . and femur heals a lot faster .
